We are located just 60 miles North of Portland, with plenty of parking and a convenient two-boat schedule. New Harbor is the perfect departure point for Monhegan Island. Come and experience our relaxed atmosphere and our professional, friendly crew.
A day trip consists of a 5-hour layover with a fun and informative Seal Watch on the return trip. For first time adventurers and life long devotees, a stay in one of the 6 overnight accommodations is a must!
Hardy Boat Cruises offers the shortest crossing distance to Monhegan Island. Approximate crossing time is 50 minutes one-way. A Seal Watch is included on the return trip to New Harbor. We are the most economical ferry service available to Monhegan Island providing our customers with parking for just $3 per day and free luggage. Because of our popularity, we strongly recommend that you call ahead for reservations.

Hardy Boat Cruises has contributed over $12,000 to this endeavor. Advanced reservations required.
Reservation Information: A credit card number or advanced payment is required for all trips and will hold tickets until 20 minutes prior to departure. Credit cards will be charged 24 hours before scheduled departure time. Cancellations are required 24 hours in advance of departure time for full refund. All other cancellations, unclaimed tickets and no-shows are non-refundable. Schedules, fares and fees are subject to change without notice. Fuel surcharges may be imposed if necessary.
Please arrive at the dock 45 minutes prior to departure.
LUGGAGE: No charge for overnight luggage and groceries. Space is extremely limited! Please limit and consolidate all items and assure they are packed in sturdy bags and boxes. All other freight will be charged. Please call ahead if you plan to bring something unusual or if you have excessive baggage. Arrive early if traveling with baggage.
Kayaks: $15 round trip
Pets must be leashed or kenneled while aboard. No charge.
Coffee, tea, healthy snacks and home baked goodies available from the boats galley.
Cars and bicycles are not allowed on the Island.
Parking is $3 per day and payable upon the first day of parking. Cash only please.
